The Housecrowd

Generating leads in the proptech sector

British investment company The Housecrowd offered peer-to-peer investment opportunities based in real estate. With as little as £1,000, investors could provide bridging and property development loans and earn a respectable return. The FCA-authorised company connected lenders and borrowers for a small fee.

The Housecrowd asked us to boost their profile and raise awareness of their Innovative Finance ISA, SIPP, and property development products. They also wanted to improve their position in the search results for key terms related to their business. Our PR and SEO service teams developed a strategy and got to work.

Results

  • Over 140 pieces of positive coverage
  • 58 followed links from high-quality editorial publications with an average DA of 44
  • First-place ranking for seven lead-generating keywords

Our campaign delivered over 140 pieces of positive press coverage, including interviews with The Daily Telegraph, Moneywise, and The Daily Mail. The media coverage included 58 followed links from high-quality editorial sites with an average DA of 44.

The SEO campaign was also a remarkable success. The team made technical fixes to the site to ensure that it was as visible as possible to search engines, as well as building expertise, authority and trust (EAT), which since these are especially important for “Your Money, Your Life” websites.

These changes secured first-place rankings for seven important keywords, including “secured peer-to-peer lending” and “property investment opportunities,” as well as top 20 rankings for a range of other high-traffic keywords. Following their work with us, 26% of The Housecrowd’s onsite goal completions originated with organic search.

“The agency helped us reposition the business – we pivoted from equity crowdfunding to peer-to-peer lending and the team reinforced this with media coverage in the personal finance and national press. They achieved record rankings for peer-to-peer lending and property investment keywords by developing optimised content for our website and powering it with contextually relevant followed links from the media coverage generated. I would happily recommend them.”
